8 Ways to Get Your Wardrobe Organized

1. Get out the space wasters. Whatever does not fit you anymore, get rid of it. Do Not keep "thin" or "fat" clothes, they will just depress you or you will live up to the expectation you will need them. Store them away if you must, but get them Out of your day to day wardrobe.

2. Get rid of duplicates unless you are wearing all of them usually except if it is part of a uniform you must wear of course. Do you verily need 8 distinct black tops/shirts/blouses?

3. Keep your basics/classics. This may, for example, consist of: black pants/trousers, blazer/jacket, white shirt, blue jeans, black t-shirt and a pair of runners. This is very basic I know, but the trick is to build with accessories. Scarves, jewelry, mixing and matching are the way to go. You can dress up a pair of jeans and t-shirt with a blazer, or keep it casual with a poncho.

4. Keep like shapes together. I keep singlets/camisoles in one place, along with Whatever sleeveless. Then in other drawer I have t-shirts. In other drawer, the long sleeved t-shirts/jerseys and dressy tops that don't need hanging. Keep bulky items in the lower drawers, such as jeans, cargo pants and woolly jumpers. If you don't have a built-in or walk-in wardrobe, you don't need to be as greatest of course, as you will have more space.

5. Hanging wise, keep skirts together, short then long. I hang blazers and jackets to one end. Then hang your trousers in the middle, and shirts also. Try to use wooden hangers; they keep the shape of your clothes better over time, especially jackets.

6. If you love your shoes, then go for the clear shoe boxes that allow you to stack and see your collection all at once. It could even be a kind of decorating highlight in your bedroom or wardrobe! I like to hang my pretty shawls on the walls from time to time as they are too gorgeous to not be on display sometimes.

7. Hang belts, hats, scarves on coat hangers inside your wardrobe. Hang your robe on the inside with a large hook.

8. Have your socks and underwear in one place, perhaps your more delicate items in a shoebox in your drawer. This can contain your swimwear also.
