How To Build A Ghillie Suit
Ghillie suits are useful items of clothing for those who enjoy hunting or paintball as well as those who take part in army type exercises or wildlife photography. Basically these suits are useful for anything who needs to be able to hide him or herself during activities in nature. The ghillie sniper suit can be purchased online or made yourself using ghillie kits. But, if you conduct to procure a few easy items and if you are willing tom spend some time working on it you can make your very own ghillie suit yourself.
What do you need?
Poncho
You need an army suit also known as a "stalker suit"
You need a (new or old) pair of Bdu's (Battle Dress Uniforms)
You need a yard or more of brown canvas cloth
Roll of foam padding
You need at least 3 tubes of shoe goo
Netting
How to make the actual suit:
You will need to cut 30 squares of the netting to fit on to the rear end of the stalker trousers. Now you need to start at the lowest of the netting and count 14 squares after which you proceed to cut from the 15th quadrate up to the 22nd square. You have to follow the same policy for the other leg of the trousers to make your own ghillie trousers.
Now you will have to cut out pieces of canvas and foam padding. The canvas will hold the foam in place. First you will have to glue the foam padding on to the trouser legs. Now the messy bit starts. Use the shoe goo and smear it all over the foam padding that you have fixed to the trouser legs. This is best done by using your hands. The goo has to dry for at least 24 hours. This may take a slight longer in damp surroundings.
Now it is prominent to cut squares the size of half the front to f the jacket if you have one. get ready the netting in the same way as you did with the trousers and fix the netting to the front and the back of the jacket. If you want to cover the arms as well it is prominent to measure up the width and distance of the sleeve to make a pattern for the netting. After this you need to glue the foam padding to the netting on the sleeves and front of the jacket. Use the shoe goo again to get ready the foam padding and let the jacket dry for at least 24 hours in a well-ventilated room. When the suit is completed, be sure to spray it with a quality fire retardant. Manufacture your own ghillie suit takes work and patience but it's worth it!
Another great choice is to buy a convention ghillie kit. This saves you the aggravation of having to find all the pieces yourself but still allows you to personalize your suit.

After backpacking around Asia and Australia for nearly a year we think we've discovered the best inherent way of packing enough clothes to keep you clean until you find a laundrette (or stream). The key is to go about it systematically, use the found of the back pack to help your packing decisions i.e do not put an umbrella in the bottom compartment that is meant for shoes, put the shoes in there...
The Backpack Essentials:
Poncho
Poncho / Pac a mac: You haven't seen rain until you have seen tropical rain, you might look a bit silly, but this necessary bit of kit will keep you and your possessions dry.
Insect Repellent: You'll be patting yourself on the back for bringing this as soon as the sun goes down, the stronger the Deet content the better, but be warned any more than 60% Deet can start to irritate the skin.
Universal plug: You'd be surprised how many places we came across that didn't have any plugs in the sinks or baths, and if your living on a budget you need them to wash your clothes!
Travel Towel: This is the best piece of kit you can buy! The microfibre towels compacts down to a small package, dries quicker than normal towels, is anti-bacterial and can dries at least two people.
Linen/Outdoor Trousers: Do Not Take Jeans - they don't fold well, take a lifetime to dry and shrink when they are washed, take linen or lightweight outdoor trousers, they will keep you cool and fold up remarkably small.
Penknife and Scotch/Gaffa tape: There are things that can do roughly anything, these two items are on that list. If you have a penknife and scotch tape you can make or fix anything.
Walking Shoes: Not the most absorbing shoes, but they will go through anyone and offer ankle hold when hiking.
Packing: When it comes to packing there is one rule that I have, which is: Roll, Do Not Fold! You'll save plentifulness of space by using this technique, any way if you need to save more space then I advise using vacuum bags. They are lifesavers, and they unmistakably work, compressing the clothes by at least half. I packed my bag so I had this lining the inside of the back pack, then I stuffed all else into the middle of it, that way the things in the middle are not only waterproof, but they are also protected against any knocks while travel. Make sure you have your tour documents with you at all times, but do keep a copy of them inside your pack.

Packing Checklist For Backpackers - Clothes
Here is a checklist for clothes (and linked items), use it as inspiration and generate your own:
Underwear
Poncho
Socks
Brassiere
Get a sports bra to use on bumpy rides.
T-shirts
Pants
Get pants with large front pockets where you can put a large bottle of water. Make sure some pockets have zippers to keep stuff from falling out.
Belt
Shirts
Pullover
Jackets
Hat
Get a hat with a brim that protects the whole head from the sun.
Gloves
Finger gloves are very useful.
Sandals/flip flops
Trekking shoes
If they are new you should break them in before you leave so that you do not start your trip with blisters.
Other shoes
You may want to bring some other types of shoes along. If you want to get into a disco or club you may need to have a nice pair of shoes.
Shorts
Bathing suit
Check what is appropriate. Maybe you need to get a conservative bathing suit.
Towels
Bring one towel for the beach and another one to use in the shower (unless you want to dry yourself in salt, sand and who knows what else).
Sarong
Can be used as blanket, pillow, skirt, sun safety or duplicate as a beach towel. Avoid the color green if you want to use your towel while trekking, green attracts insects (as I learned the hard way in northern Thailand.)
Rain protection
Umbrella/rain gear. An umbrella also doubles as safety from strong sun. A rain poncho can be used to cover your backpack as well as yourself.
Sunglasses/clip-ons
Bring a hard plastic case to put your sunglasses in for safety when you do not use them. I have lost too many pairs from sitting on them, stepping on them or dropping them on the floor :)
Clothes hanger
To hang up your clothes when they get wet.
Clothes line and pin
To hang clothes for drying.
Pillow case
Bring along a pillow case if you have pillow issues (which can be quite understandable considering the germ-free standards in some parts of the world). If you want to avoid the pillow altogether you can generate your own pillow by stuffing your pillow case with clothes e.g. Sweaters.
Sleeping bag or sleeping sheet
To keep warm on cold nights or when there is lots of air conditioning. If you have doubts about germ-free standards at your accommodations a silk sleeping sheet can be useful.
Suit/formal dress
Not that I have ever backpacked with one, but I guess if you are planning on going to a wedding or something. If you are into gambling, some casinos have a formal dress code.
Odor absorber
The odor absorber is based on minerals and is able to absorb strong odors. Put it in your backpack.

The Inca Trail and Peru Treks: What to Take?
You don't need to buy costly kit and you should not overload yourself but there are a few essentials that you should have. On the Inca Trail, you only need to carry the essentials for the day as porters carry all else. For other Peru treks such as Lares, Huayhuash, Ausangate or Santa Cruz, you can carry all yourself or hire local mules to take your hiking gear.
Good boots that are already worn in, not new.

A back pack that fits as well as your boots. This might sound strange, but if it is not right for your body you can end up with back ache. A good one will have a strap to fasten nearby your hips so that the weight goes straight through your legs, not your upper back and shoulders. Most good outdoor shops will let you try them on with weights to see how it will feel when fully packed.

A metal water bottle can be filled with boiling water to be used as a hot water bottle at night, then you can drink the water the next morning. Plastic water bottles are not allowed on the Inca Trail. You will be given boiled water which is perfectly safe.

Waterproof jacket or rain poncho (can be bought in Cusco). You can expect at least some rain in the middle of November and April. The Inca Trail is finished in February; the most rainy month of the rainy season.
Hiking poles can save your knees on all those Inca steps. They should have rubber tips so as not to damage the stonework.
Coca leaves. You can put them in your tea or chew them like the locals. Coca leaves are a mild stimulant that have been used in the Andes for centuries to help combat the effects of altitude sickness. They can be surely found all over Peru.
A few phrases of the local language; Quechua. This will get you a long way in the mountains of Peru and with the porters on the Inca Trail.

When bugging out under the spectacular, starry nighttime sky we all have to make a choice. Do we retire for the evening in our sleeping bags or use blankets to fend off the cold? If the weather is slightly cool you may opt for the added insulation of the age old bedroll. It's a known fact that loosely woven materials tend to generate air pockets which can effectively keep you warm. Hobo's traditionally take some crumbled up pieces of newspaper and stuff them in their coats to generate just such an outcome. This effect is particularly noticeable with the afghan which my wife has amiable made for me. You can place it over your head and see straight through the small openings knitted into it but the thing is the best type of blanket one could ever find. There's no cold evenings when I place this afghan nearby me.
Always air out your sleeping material the following day as you would be surprised at the whole of moisture lost during the night. This can quickly turn to an undesirable odor if left alone. Bug Out Bag - Tips to building Your Own Bob
Bug Out Bags used to be only for the hard core survivalist. Any way with times getting more uncertain many every day habitancy are seeing to have one on hand. These bags are also known as a Boogie Bag, Go Bag, or Good bag 'Get Out Of Dodge'.

Obviously this is quite a list. The big thing to consider when putting together your Bug Out Bag, is that you have to be able to carry it. So once you've put your bag out bag together, try carrying it. If you can't carry it, go straight through and see what can be let go.
Remember too that your backpack should be of hiking or camping quality. Not the cheap backpacks you pick up for a few dollars to hold school supplies.
The type of backpack I would propose is one that has well padded shoulder straps and a waist belt. If it has a light weight frame as part of the backpack, all the better as it will help to distribute the load more. This is also a observation if you'll be travelling with man who doesn't have much perceive in carrying heavy loads.
You can put your own bag together. Any way there are also some premade survival packs that would serve very well as a starting Bob. Those can save you time and even money in some cases. Also remember that most bug out bags will only have enough food for a few days - so it's important to know where you're going in case of emergency.
