The newest style in 2010 is the famous baja hoodie that has taken the United States by storm in the past 6 months. Sure it might not be winter right now but these sweaters are still very popular. You authentically can't go anywhere anymore without finding at least 1 someone wearing one of these sweatshirt pullovers.
Allow me to break down the characteristics that make a hoodie a baja hoodie. They have to have the pocket in the front. Some habitancy like to call it a kangaroo pouch. It has to have the fabric sewn in the opposite direction as the rest of the sweater. This means that the stripes will go horizontal on this part instead of vertical like the rest of the sweater. They always have a hood or the would not be called "hoodies".
Poncho
They also have puny strings hang down from the neck on each side that look like they would be used to tighten the hood but they authentically don't. They practically always have at least 2 colors but there are some that are 1 solid color. The solid color bajas commonly cost more money because it is harder to find material that is all one color when using recycled materials. Most of the bajas are made in Mexico, in fact if it is a real baja shirt it will be made in Mexico. Beware of any that are not made in Mexico because that means that they are not authentic. They are practically impossible to find in store so the internet is the best bet of finding one.
