Remember the Mexican baja hoodie sweatshirts that were very beloved in the 1970's? Well, most likely you have never heard of their actual name but you would recognize them if you saw them. Just photograph a poncho with sleeve and a hood with a kangaroo pouch in the front. Got it? Well, they were illustrious for a while and then lost their popularity among most Americans.
But they didn't wholly fall off the face of the earth. The hippies embraced this style of sweatshirt and have worn it with pride for the past 30 years. Well, the time has come for a comeback of old fashions just like it does with every fashion. There is only one problem, local stores don't carry baja hoodies. So I did a minuscule investigate on where you could find them and since they are made in Mexico, I contacted some population I know in Mexico. The great thing is that they are sold in practically every town in Mexico. The bad news is that you would have to go to Mexico to pick them up. But if you are ever nearby Mexico, stop by and get one in Texcoco. That is the name of a town that has a illustrious huge "tienda" or road market. You can get them for nearby .00 bucks but you might end up spending a minuscule more than that in gas money getting there and then advent back. But be aware that you heard it here first, baja hoodies are making a comeback in 2010.
